老友记第一季第三集发生了一件很有意思的事情。
Monica找了一个新男朋友Alan，准备带回家给朋友们见一见。但是根据她之前的经验，大家对她找的男朋友总是各种吐槽。
于是Monica以为Alan也在劫难逃，结果却大大出乎她的意料。

Rachel:We didn't change..

Phoebe:You know.. you let your guard down, you start to really care about someone, and I just- I-
当你放下防御，真心对待一个人…
Monica:Look, I- I could go on pretending-

Joey:Okay!
好啊！
Monica:-but that wouldn't be fair to me, it wouldn't be fair to Alan- It wouldn't be fair to you!

Ross:Who-who wants fair? I mean, I just want things back. You know, the way they were.

Monica:I'm sorry..

分手者：I could go on pretending-， but it's not fair to you. (分手都是为了你好,否则对你不公平......)
被分手者：I just want things back. Y'know, the way they were. (最后的挣扎，我只想回到从前......)
分手者：I'm sorry...（不可能了）
被分手者：You are sorry! I feel better! (愤怒，对不起有用的话，还要警察干什么）
分手者：You'll meet someone else. （未来视角，你会遇到更好的......)
被分手者：I can't believe this! With the holidays coming up- I wanted you to meet my family- (过年都准备见家长了，试图打动对方挽回）
分手者：Are you gonna be okay? （你没事吧，不能让对方做出过激举动）
被分手者：Just gonna need a little time. (需要一点时间来接受这件事)
