小学英语讲评课教学设计

Grade 5  Unit 6  In a Nature Park

1.Teaching content: Unit 6 In a Nature paper analysis

2.Teaching aims

(1)Knowledge aims

①Enable the students to find out the problems in the test and try to solve them.

②Enable the students to use  “there be” in daily life. 

(2)Ability aims:

①To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs and groups.

②To develop the Ss’ abilities of generating and accessing solutions to problems. 

(3)Moral aims:

①To train students’ sense of loving nature, protecting the environment and loving the school.

② To inspire  students’ interest in English study ,and make students to build up the confidence of learning English.

3.Key and difficult points:

(1)Key points: To help students grasp the words and sentences structure in this unit.

(2)Difficult points: there be sentence pattern.

4.Teaching aids:

Power point,word cards and pictures, microphone

5. Teaching methods and learning methods

1.Teaching methods

Communicative method;task-based method;audio-visual method.

2.Learning methods

I will use the task-based method to let ss work in pairs or groups to find out the problems in the test and try to solve the problems by themselves.

Part three Teaching procedures

1.Warm-up

1) Greetings

At the beginning, I will greet the students and create a real situation: many new teachers come to our school today, we need a guide to introduce our school to the teachers, I will divide the ss into two groups, there are many tasks, the winner can be the guide.

(purpose:It can draw a closer relationship between students and teacher and warm the class.)

2) lead-in

Sing a song

After greetings, I will let students sing a song together and ask what is the song about.

(purpose:It can active classroom atmosphere and inspire students’ interest in English-learning and lead in the class naturally.)

2. Presentation

1) analysis the test paper, find out the losing point and praise the excellent ss, today we’ll focus on these problems and try to solve them.

2) a game: look and say

(purpose:to review the words in this unit)

3)Task1:give the ss a picture of nature park and let them to describe the picture by using “there be“ sentences pattern。

(purpose:review the sentence pattern and train the ss speaking ability)

4) summary be there…?sentence pattern

5) Task 2: group work

use “is/are there…?” to make a new dialogue with your partner.

(purpose:To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs and groups. and train the ss speaking ability)

6) consolidation exercise 1: listening practice

(purpose:To train the Ss’ listening ability.)

7) consolidation exercise 2:choose the best answer

(purpose:To practice “there be” sentence pattern.)

8) consolidation exercise 3: choose the right answer.

(purpose:To distinguish “any” and “some”.)

3.Practice

(1) new test for listening

Tom: Look! 1._____ is my holiday 2._______.

Amy: Is it a nature park?

Tom: Yes, it is.

Amy: Is there a 3.______ in the park?

Tom: Yes, there is.

Amy: Is there a 4.______?

Tom: No, there isn’t.

Amy:  Is there a 5._______?

Tom: Yes, there is..

(purpose: The aim is to practice the new words )

(2) finish the sentence

1. There is a hill in the park.( make a general question.)

2. Is there a photo on the wall?( affirmative answer)

3.There are some monkeys in the zoo.( make a general question.)

(purpose: The aim is to practice the sentence pattern )

(3)choose the right answer.

Amy: 1.______

Sarah:  Really? Is there a forest in the park?

Amy:2.________

Sarah:3._______

Amy: No, there isn’t.

Sarah:4._____

Amy: Yes, there is a big lake.

A. Is there a river?

B. Is there a lake?

C. There is a nature park.

D. Yes, there is.

(purpose: The aim is to train the ss ability of solving problems by themselves.)

4、Consolidation

1) find out the winner

2) guide’s report: I’m the guide.

Good morning, dear teachers. Welcome to our school. There _____ seven tall buildings in our school. Are they beautiful?  Look, this is our classroom. There _____ many students here. We have class here. After school, we go to the canteen(餐厅), the food is delicious, I really like it. _____ there a library  in our school? Yes, _____ is a library and there _____  many books there. I like reading. _____ there a playground in our school? Yes, look , we are having a sport meet in the playground. How happy we are! There ___ a gym in our school, we often play football there. So this is our beautiful school, welcome to our school again! 

(purpose: train the ss’ speaking and make students to build up the confidence of learning English.)

5、Extention

1)Show 4 pictures and let students find out which one do you like?

( purpose: Through this task, students’ observation can be promoted.)

2) what is the beautiful nature like? Watch a video.

(purpose: To train students’ sense of loving nature and protecting the environment

6 、Summary

I will let several students repeat the words and sentences and summary they learned today .

7、Homework

1) use “is there…/are there any…?  to describe the classroom.

2) do more exercises.
