如果与其他厂家的境况进行对比，你就会发现Tableau的表现有多好：Gartner报告中的另外一家曾经的上市公司Tibco Software因销售业绩不佳，最近以42亿美元的价格出售给了私营公司Vista。而BI厂商Pentaho则以5亿美元的白菜价出售给了日立数据。

但是Tableau的未来并非一马平川，同类创业公司如Platfora、ClearStory和SiSense都试图提供与Tableau类似的，简单易用的数据分析产品。此外，不差钱的巨头们也在这个市场发力，例如微软和IBM合力推出的基于自然语言处理的PowerBI以及沃森分析服务（Watson Analytics），微软称后两者代表第三代BI，而Tableau仅是第二代。最后，我们不能忘了Salesforce.com也在BI领域投入重金寻求突破。
