意大利籍艺评人兼策展人，1978年生于博洛尼亚，现居西班牙。于多部艺术书籍发表评论并担任多家艺术刊物编辑，研习中国和亚洲当代艺术已超过15年，参与策划亚洲、欧洲、美洲的众多当代艺术项目。自2003年起曾在米兰、北京、博洛尼亚、瓦伦西亚的数家画廊任艺术总监，策划由重要艺术基金（CARISBO、BSI）和博物馆（苏州博物馆、意大利Palazzo
Reale、Sala Josep Renau）支持的展览，并参与2005年、2009年布拉格双年展和2011年威尼斯双年展平行展策展。
Eleonora Battiston is an Italian art
critic and curator born in Bologna in 1978 and currently living in
Spain. Since 2003 she has worked as art director for different art
galleries in Milan (Italy), Beijing (China), Bologna (Italy) and
Valencia (Spain). She curated several exhibitions inimportant art
foundations as CARISBO (Bologna,Italy) and BSI (Lugano,Swiss) and
museums as PAN (Naples,Italy) Suzhou Art Museum (Suzhou,China) Palazzo
Reale (Milan,Italy) and Sala Josep Renau (Valencia,Spain). She curated a
section of the Prague Biennale in 2005 and 2009 and a parallel
exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2011. To date, she has contributed
with critical essays to nearly thirty books on contemporary art.
无界 | Unbounded
此次展览展出艺术家作为中国当代艺术发展的代表性人物，为观众呈现某种艺术发展的脉络现象：一种趋势的扁平化和某种彻底打开的可能性。在某种程度上来讲，世界不同地域艺术家所思考的问题或者批判的对象虽然不能说路径相同，但其目标越来越接近——都是在以一种人类自觉的方向推进，其目的就是达到真正的自由。
我们很难认同一种人类固有现实的“无根性”，但是作为“发展中的人”，不断地前进而又不断回馈到自身，通过对不同文化进行理解吸收后最真实地走到自己面前，在时间中完成自己。人类不应陷入虚无的轮回而应该重新鼓起勇气，穿透现象的表皮，将人与世界彻底地打开融合，这也正是中国文化的终极目的。对于过去、现在和未来，自由的希望始终贯穿于人类历史当中，而对于这种信念的坚持和追求，也正是此次展览的目的。
The artists in this exhibition as a
representative figure for the development of contemporary Chinese art,
showing some certain artistic development of the phenomenon to the
audience: a trend of delayering and a possibility of completely open. To
some extent, the problems of objects or criticism of the artists from
different regions of the world could not be the same, but their goals
are getting closer - all based on a conscious direction of mankind,
which purpose is to achieve a true freedom.
It is difficult for us to agree with the
"rootless" which is inherent in humanbeings, but as a "developing man"
we should keep on moving forward and constantly feed back to ourselves,
through the absorbing of different cultures to see and figure the real
myself. What we should do is not to fall into the nothingness of
reincarnation but to regain the courage, then, penetrating the
appearance, Human and the world will completely interact on ecah other ,
which is also the ultimate goal of Chinese culture. For the past,
present and future, the hope of freedom runs through human history, the
persistence and pursuit of this belief is the purpose of this exhibition
as well.
曼特尼亚美术馆
La Casa del Mantegna
曼特尼亚美术馆坐落于意大利北部城市曼托瓦市，是一所非盈利性文化机构。致力于将当代艺术、公共空间、人文历史相互结合发展，并和曼托瓦德泰宫现代艺术馆成为意大利当代文化艺术重要的标杆地点，许多知名艺术家在此举办展览，其重要地位得到业内的一致认可。
美术馆历史
曼特尼亚美术馆建筑主体建于1476年，意大利文艺复兴艺术家安德烈亚·曼特尼亚于1496年到1502年期间在此生活居住，后转让于弗朗切斯科侯爵。此后作为贡萨加家族的家族教堂伴随着王朝的兴亡于1607年被教会收回管理。随后历经多位贵族公爵，直到十九世纪初成为皮坦蒂诺技术学校校舍的一部分。
二十世纪四十年代随着战争的结束，其建筑主体结构得到保存，大区政府承担了该建筑的恢复工作，并竭尽全力按照最初样式进行了恢复重建。
在此过程中，伦巴第大区政府通过不断举办专家座谈会、学术研讨会和展览等形式以贡萨加王朝为主线，对从大公皇宫到德泰宫古建筑群进行了研究梳理，这一过程花费大约三十年的时间。而曼特尼亚美术馆作为该地区重要的文化地标，具有极高的艺术价值与人文历史价值，常被用来举办政府官方的文化活动。
安德烈亚·曼特尼亚（Andrea Mantegna）
安德烈亚·曼特尼亚（Andrea
Mantegna，1431年-1506年）意大利帕多瓦派文艺复兴画家，北部意大利重要的人文主义者，原是意大利著名考古学家斯克瓦尔古涅的养子，在这位学者的影响下，画家对于历史与古代文物自小就产生浓厚的兴趣，而这正是人文主义艺术家的才智的又一重要方面。他热衷于描绘古罗马的建筑和雕像，并从古代的历史神话和文学中汲取创作的养料。在壁画领域创造了用透视法控制总体的空间幻境，开创了延续三个多世纪的天顶画装饰画风。其作品的古典主义特色对后世艺术家产生了极大影响，著名作品有《画之屋》《凯撒的胜利》《哀悼基督》等。
《圣塞巴斯提安》
借助这个人物，来表彰为人民的权利而捐躯的牺牲者，艺术家曼特尼亚较早地作了这一尝试。
