In the last class today, two new students came into my phonics class at 4:30. These two students are fine , but the parents are like disasters. One kid’s mom asked if we can put 7 kids in a class. In terms of our class principle, obviously, no. But according to my “breaking rules” rule , yes.
So I just collected parents’ opinions in the class group after the class.
How many students should we put in an English class in a training center?10?15?4?1?or 6?
Who on earth set this creative but ridiculous number for a class? Some people agree that students can speak more, learn more and interact with the teachers more in a smaller class in ONE HOUR. Indeed, however, the bloody fact is that no matter how many sentences a student learn and repeat in a class , it is not enough. It is just 1.5 hour, dude. I can’t believe that some training centers even set the number of out put sentences in a lesson. You know my Chinese teacher never count how many key structures he set in the class!
So, with this NUMBER confusion, I still asked them if they accept the “breaking 6 people limited rule”.
If everyone is keeping breaking the class rules like this, I’m just going to have more money to live, that’s it. Then why was I bothered ?It was probably because one of the moms was so rude and disgrace. With a fat face , she talked and acted like a boss. Customer is never the god.It is just an metaphor! Why are there so many selfish and impolite parents out there? Why do they always like to break a training center’s rule ? “Oh,your center is too small.” “Oh,you should put 7 people in a class!” “Oh,the price is too high here!” “Oh,the time of a new class is too early here!”
......
How about you go and open one shop?
It is not easy to be an English Teacher. Not only you should count the number of the students in a class, but also you should count the number of the key sentences structures.
I’m looking forward to seeing another fun issue. (Am I going to be the Issue attractor?)
