a) 搭配弱词
有时，写作者会使用一些加强语气的修饰语来修饰一个语气薄弱、内容单薄的词，以增强表达的力度，但这在英文中是写作不成熟的表现；高水平的写作者会寻找更精确、更深刻的词汇来表达更强烈的意思。比如他们会用essential，imperative等来表达“至关重要”，而不是用extremely important。
例1：I think there will definitely be genuine stability and unity
改1：I am certain that there will be genuine stability and unity
例2：the government overestimated its own strength and was thoroughly optimistic as to be the outcome of the war
改2：the government overestimated its own strength and was confident of the outcome of the war
