"Grandad!" A little girl with bright golden locks and dark green eyes ran to an old man waiting outside the school.
"Oh hello Juliet!" The old man picked up the little girl with ease, a tender smile spread on his wrinkled face.
It was 3pm, a rather pleasant time of a pleasant summer day. The afternoon sun shone down from above, sending its eternal warmth to people on the ground. Everywhere was green, big trees stretched out their branches to receive more energy while the grass and bushes were left to grow wild. When looking around, one could hardly see any houses as most of them were scattered in the woods. People on the roads were either walking, or riding on a kind of animal called "horgine". By appearance horgine looked a lot like horse; however, when they were set in the moving mode they could shoot off as fast as a motorbike.
By 3pm a group of parents had gathered by the school gate already. Slowly the crowd started to move away, with the rise of that full-of-hope-and-joy voice of children. Juliet and her grandad also disappeared with the crowd soon.
"Did you have a good time at school today?" Holding the tiny hand of his granddaughter, the old man asked.
"Hmm, let me think." Juliet tilted her head slightly to the right and pointed her right index finger on her cheek. She's copying an adult's behaviour and that made her grandad smile.
"It was alright." Finally the little girl claimed with a serious look, "I sat with Jemima and Ella for lunch but did not play with Annabel much because she was playing with Resha today. However, I don't mind, because I am now playing with Freya, she's my new friend!"
"Wow, that sounds fantastic! A new friend!"
"Anyway, it is only for today. I might play with Annabel again tomorrow if she wants to be my friend again."
"Yes, let's wait and see. Anything else's interesting at school today?"
Juliet thought for a moment, suddenly her eyes lit up: "Oh yes! We learned about the space!"
"The space! What about it did you learn?"
"Miss White said that we might be moving to a whole new planet in the future! Do you know Dr Yang? Miss White said he's in the space right now, looking for our next home!"
Without realising the old man stopped walking, the soft yet exciting words springing out of his granddaughter's lips knocked on his heart, they echoed a far away but never fading memory from his youth.
