Activity启动在哪里?

说到Activity的启动,我们都知道是调用了ActivityThread#performLaunchActivity(ActivityClientRecord, Intent),但是问题是:在哪里调用?
答案还是要从源码中找。

1. ActivityThread#main

Java应用的入口是main方法。在Android应用程序中,应用入口也是从ActivityThreadmain方法开始,先看以下main方法中的实现:

可以看到逻辑比较简单,但是我们主要看几行关键代码,以下是我缩减以后的代码:

上面的代码做了什么事呢?

  • 准备主线程的Looper
  • 构造ActivityThread的对象并调用attach
  • 获取主线程中的Handler
  • 开启Looper中的消息循环

为什么说开启了消息循环,Activity就启动了?
我们知道消息循环是Looper从消息队列中取消息,然后由Handler处理消息的过程。所以Activity的启动流程本质上就是消息循环的过程。那么我们就去看消息从哪里发出,在哪里处理。

2. ActivityThread#attach

我们看一下ActivityThreadattach做了什么?代码已缩减,只留重点

main方法中调用这个方法的参数,我们知道system是为false,我们只需看if(!system)这个分支。主要看mgr.attachApplication(mAppThread, startSeq),mgr是IActivityManager类型的引用,通常有个I开头的类,我们可以推测是IBinder类型的对象,现在看ActivityManager.getService()里面

IActivityManager是个单例对象,在创建单例中,也验证了它的确是Binder对象。而IActivityManager的实现类是ActivityManagerService,代码有删减:

可以看出ActivityManagerService的确是有attachApplication这个方法,而它实际调用了attachApplicationLocked,这里面的代码较多,我只留下重点代码,有两个分支都会调用thread.bindApplication方法,我们由上面知道,thread是从ActivityThreadmAppThread传进来的,那么看一下这个是什么。

这下我们知道它是ActivityThread的一个内部类,所以调用从ActivityManagerService回到了ActivityThread,现在看ApplicationThread里面的bindApplication方法。

主要操作是

  • 调用了setCoreSettings(coreSettings)里面也是发送了消息

绑定Application不在我们讲解范围内,所以看H.SET_CORE_SETTINGS消息在哪里处理。ActivityThread内部有个内部类是class H extends Handler {},Handler的作用是什么?我都知道就是用来处理消息的,那么现在我们看这个Handler怎样处理H.SET_CORE_SETTINGS这个消息

这里面就是层层调用,最后到了handleRelaunchActivityLocally(IBinder token)
看名字我们知道跟启动Activity有点关系,但是它最后是调用了executeTransaction(transaction)来执行一个事务

所以我们看一下这个事务是在哪里执行的

我们先看回executeTransaction方法中,它是获取了一个TransactionExecutor然后调用execute方法,这个方法里面又调用了executeCallbacks(transaction),再调用cycleToPath,接着就是performLifecycleSequence,直接看这里

而mTransactionHandler是的类型是

4. ActivityThread#handleLaunchActivity

然后里面其实是调用了performLaunchActivity,这里就是核心中的核心了,里面做的事情有点多,主要是:

  • 创建Activity的Context对象

  • 创建Activity对象

到这里我们就看到了我们最熟悉的onCreate方法了。Activity的创建过程就完成了。
