Oak trees could be seen everywhere in the forest of America. They dominate the forest areas. That is the reason that we call oak tree as kind of forest. They usually grow to the height of more than 130feet and have life expectancy of 600 years.
The change of four seasons
In spring oak tree start the new cycle annually. Leaves appear on the old tree stem and replace the old ones. Through the whole summer photosynthesis is revoked to reach the maximize limit. The xylem transports water and minerals from the roots to the rest part of tree. The chlorophyll traps energy from sunlight and uses it to convert water and carbon dioxide into food. The oak blossoms nad increase in height. As temperature keeps decreasing in fall leaves can not to resist cold air and become more weaken. When winter and chilly climate comes oak tree is dormant till next spring.
The introduction of different part of oak tree
Trunk plays a important role in oak tree ecosystem. The bottom of trunk root in the land to get minerals and water. Bark protects the leak of mineral and water in delivery. Stem is the major channel for delivery. Photosynthesis uses the mineral and water to produce food for oak tree. The tree produces male flowers in showy leaves, whereas female flowers are hidden among the leaves. So oak tree is self pollinnate. Leaves and branches are growing from buds which are formed by protective scales that fall off in the spring. The age of oak tree could be calculated from the growth rings. It is not mature until 20 years old. When it steps in the mature era , it produces acorns and seeds which would fertilize again.
