Greg was arranged to sit next to Alex Arude who is the smartest kid in the whole class. So Greg can copy off of Alex's papers to bail out a pinch. The last-name rule means that teachers are more likely to call on kids whose last names begin with the first several letters of the alphabet. Mom has arranged housework for Rodrick and Greg to help her out. They are in charge of the dishes. But Rodrick rushed into the bathroom and stayed  there until Greg has finished the dishes. Besides their parents focused so much on the little brother Manny that they did not realize Rodrick's lame excuse. Greg's friend, Rowley, had a whole summer holiday abroad. Rowley's family is fond of traveling. Whenever Rowley came back from journey, he will speak like them and get into a fad of the local popular things.

Last Tuesday, one of my Mom's  feet was bitted by an old mouse and bled much on one of her shoes. So, I accompanied her to our local hospital to have an injection. This morning we went to the hospital to have the injection again. After it, she need to sit 30 minutes in the bench outside the office to ensure that she has no bad effect. While we were sitting there and chatting, we saw a double baby carriage which was pushed towards us. Mom said, " they are twin sisters about three years old,  and they also has an elder sister about 10 years old." They looked really alike and wore the same pink dress and white sandals. One held a blue plastic water cup and the other had a pink one. The elder one was carried by her mother to be inoculated. The other girl stayed outside the office and so afraid of the injection that she refused to step inside. She was cared by her aunt. The loud cry came out of the room immediately. After getting out of the room, the little girl cried to sit in the baby carriage and to sleep. What lovely she was to comfort herself in her little space.
