(For a boy I once met in "Biology 104", at the University of Miami)
The day I
First met you,
Stunned by your uniqueness,
I couldn't say a word.
That grass-like black hair,
Caramel-brown eyes,
And paper-white skin
May seem ordinary,
But to me,
The combination works.
Is your family broken,
For you don't seem to know you father.
Of all the people you mention,
Your family is your mother.
An "emo" you might be,
Into films, sketches and anime,
All of them blue and yellow,
Black and white,
Well fit a guy
Color-blind.
Being unique can't hide,
A heart intact yet broken,
Fragile yet strong,
A tender man like you, always strives
To make nights postponed,
And days prolonged.
When I listened to "Rush" by Ferras,
I can't help but think of you.
That marshmallow voice,
Soft and sweet,
Is you, is all you.
A girl like me,
Have not learned to make friends with guys she likes,
But even for a day
That light in you
drew me close,
Gave me might.
How I want to be like you!
You are the growth I see.
The kindness I dream,
The passion for life I've coveted.
My friend,
You are a world of love.
