咖啡，是老外最常喝的一种饮料。
我们的老友记里最经典的场景就是中央公园咖啡店，可见咖啡在老外心中的位置有多么重要了。所以想要练好口语，能和老外无障碍聊天，学会咖啡的相关表达是非常非常重要的。
我们先来看几个老友记中关天咖啡的经典场景：
提到咖啡，我们第一个想到的肯定是 Rachel, 在咖啡店的场景中，Rachel一直都在扮演waitress的角色，似乎永远是系着围裙，一手端着拖盘，一手在给朋友们递咖啡。
让我们来回忆一下，Rachel第一次自己泡咖啡的时候：
当Rachel第一次学会了Make Coffee, 她对自己的成长非常满意，说了一句特别经典的话： I figure if I can make coffee, there isn't anything I can't do. （我想如果我学会了泡咖啡，我就没有什么是做不了的了）
然后Chandler补了一句刀：If can invade Poland, there isn't anything I can't do. （如果我能入侵波兰，我就没有什么是做不了的了）。
结果咖啡的味道可想而知。作为一次Rachel第一次泡的咖啡的试喝员，兄弟两个为了不打击他们这个当来到现实世界的朋友，在Rachel不注意的时候把咖啡倒在了盆栽里, 然后夸赞她咖啡泡得很好......
Rachel: Isn't this amazing? I mean, I have never made coffee before in my entire life.
Chandler:That is amazing.
Joey:Congratulations.
Rachel:Y'know, I figure if I can make coffee, there isn't anything I can't do.
Chandler:If can invade Poland, there isn't anything I can't do.
后来Rachel再给小伙伴为端咖啡，大家都要先问一句：Did you make it, or are you just serving it （是你泡的咖啡，还是你只是端过来）。
当Rachel说只是端过来的时候，大家才放心要点咖啡。猜想一下此点Rachel小姐的心理阴影面积......
Rachel:(walks upwith a pot of coffee) Would anybody like more coffee?
Chandler:Did you make it, or are you just serving it?
Rachel:I'm just serving it.
All:Yeah. Yeah,I'll have a cup of coffee.
Rachel:(carrying a tray of drinks) Alright, don't tell me, don't tell me! (Starts handing them out.) Decaf cappucino for Joey.. Coffee black.. Late.. And an iced tea. I'm getting pretty good at this!
All:Yeah. Yeah,excellent.
所以当你遭遇老外，发现无话可以聊的时候，不妨聊一下咖啡，绝对可以是话题之王。
所以平时注意准备一下咖啡的表达方式，是非常有必要的。

Su: Really? Why don't you join me for afternoon tea? Let's go get a coffee. It’ll be good for you！
Kim：Sure, why not?I could relax and gossip. Let me just grab my wallet.You certainly do look happy this morning.
Su：I am. Don't worry about getting your wallet. It's my treat.
Kim：This is a first！You must have good news.
苏：嗨，金。好几天没见到你了。
金：噢，上星期我大部分时间在休假。现在还不在状态呢。
苏：真的？为什么不来跟我一起喝杯下午茶吧,去喝杯咖啡，对你有好处。
金：好啊，何乐而不为呢？我可以借机休息和闲聊一下。等我拿钱包。今天早上你看上去真高兴。
苏：我是高兴。别去拿钱包了。我请客。
金：这可是头一回。你一定有好事了吧。
场景 - 选咖啡：
Su: Wow, there are a lot of options here.
Kim: No kidding! Look at all the syrups.
Su: What are they for?
Kim: To flavor your coffee.
Su: What is espresso?
Kim: A very strong kind of coffee. It's bitter alone, but mixed with milk it's delicious.
Su: A latte is espresso and milk?
Kim: Yup! And you can mix the syrups with your latte. What size coffee do you want?
Su: What are the options?
Kim: There's small, medium, or large.
Su: Umm, Midium.
苏：哇哦，这里有很多的选择啊。
金：真的，看看这些糖汁。
苏：它们是干嘛用的？
金：给咖啡调味。
苏：什么是浓咖啡啊
金：一种味道很浓的咖啡，单独喝有些苦，但是和牛奶混合在一起就很美味
苏：拿铁是浓咖啡加鲜奶吗？
金：是啊， 你也可以在拿铁里加一些糖汁。你要多大杯的咖啡？
苏：有哪些选择呢？
金：有小杯， 中杯，大杯。
苏： 嗯，中杯。
场景 - 点咖啡：
Barista：Hey, what can I get you?
Su: I'll take a hazelnut latte, please!
Barista：Okay, hot or iced?
Su: I'd like it hot. Thank you.
Barista:Anything else?
Su: No, not for now.
Barista: Your total comes to $3.69.
Su: Here's a five. Keep the change.
Barista: Thanks a lot. Your drink will be ready in a minute.
咖啡师：要点些什么？
苏：我要一杯榛果拿铁。
咖啡师：好的，热的还是冷的？
苏：热的，谢谢。
咖啡师：还要点别的吗？
苏：不用了，现在不需要。
咖啡师：总共是3.69美元。
苏：给你五元，不用找了。

场景 - 食物
Su: What did you order?
Kim: A mocha...chocolate, espresso, and milk.
Su: Skim milk or whole milk?
Kim: Skim milk.
Su: Do you want any thing to eat? They sell muffins and scones and stuff up at the counter.
Kim:I'll take a blueberry muffin, thanks.
苏：你点的什么？
金：摩卡 -- 巧克力，浓咖啡和牛奶。
苏：脱脂牛奶还是全脂牛奶？
金：脱脂牛奶
苏：还要点些吃的吗？柜台那边有卖松饼，烙饼和一些其它的东西。

Su: Boo, I'm finished with my latte.
Kim: Too bad. Get another drink then.
Su:I'm going to get some drip coffee.
Kim: Drip coffee?
Su: Yeah, the coffee that's brewed with coffee beans and water. It's usually the cheapest drink.
Kim: Oh, I see.
Su: I usually add cream and sugar though.
Kim: Does the barista add it for you?
Su: Nope! Most cafes will have a little table where you can add however much cream or sugar you want.
Kim: OK, before we go outside, I need a refill.
苏: 唔，我喝完我的拿铁了。
金： 唉，再喝一杯。
苏: 我要再来点滴滤咖啡。
金： 滴滤咖啡？
苏: 是啊，那种用咖啡豆和水冲的咖啡，通常是最便宜的。
金：我知道了。
苏: 不过我通常会加奶油和糖。
