2017年读过《刻意练习》中文版,英文版就随手翻了一下。书中讲了什么都快忘记,再次“临幸”它,希望通过摘录书中的经典句子或有益建议,以加深印象和为提高写作能力积累素材。
1.You wish to climb a mountain. You’re not sure how high you want to go-that peak looks an awfully long way off-but you know you want to get higher than you currently are. You could simply take off on whichever path looks promising and hope for the best, but you’re probably not going to get very far. Or you could rely on a guide who has been to the peak and knows the best way there. That will guarantee that no matter how high you decide to climb, you are doing it in the most efficient, effective way. That best way is deliberate practice, and this book is your guide. It will show you the path to the peak; how far you travel along that path is up to you.

2.有目的的练习的四个特点
A.Purposeful practice has well-defined, specific goals.
--Purposeful practice is all about putting a bunch of baby steps together to reach a longer-term goal
B.Purposeful practice is focused.
--You seldom improve much without giving the task your full attention.
C.Purposeful practice involves feedback.
--No matter what you’re trying to do, you need feedback to identify exactly where and how you are falling short. Without feedback-either from yourself or from outside observers-you cannot figure out what you need to improve on or how close you are to achieving your goals.
D.Purposeful practice requires getting out of one’s comfort zone.
--If you never push yourself beyond your comfort zone, you will never improve.
--Getting out of your comfort zone means trying to do something that you couldn’t do before. Sometimes you may find it relatively easy to accomplish that new thing, and then you keep pushing on. But sometimes you run into something that stops you cold and it seems like you’ll never be able to do it. Finding ways around these barriers is one of the hidden keys to purposeful practice.

——走出舒适区,意味着要试着做一些你以前没做过的事情。有时候,你也许发现,做一些没做过的事情,相对较为容易,然后,你会继续逼迫自己。但有时候,你偶然碰到了那些让你感到很难做好的事情,似乎你永远也做不了。想办法去逾越这些障碍,是通向有目的的练习的隐藏钥匙。
