Summary

Amir finally on his way to visit Rahim Khan . It was the first time he came back to hometown since he fled Kabul with baba . The moment he set foot on this soil , he thought of baba . In 1981 , baba and he had spent a few months in the Peshawar . He still remember something about it . A saying could more exactly describe the initial moments of his reunion with Rahim,  that is "elephant in the room". It is sad to Amir when he saw Rahim . After years of war and  over work made Rahim as emaciated as a fowl. They talked a lot of things , including Amir's wife,  baba . When Rahim talked about Hassan,  those thorny old barbs of guilt bore into Amir's heart once more . It made him understand that if something is meant to be , it will happen . Facts proved that Hassan has been leading a dog's life since they separated .

这两章主要描绘了阿米尔和拉辛汗重逢叙旧的场面，拉辛汗重提哈桑旧事让阿米尔内心受到触动，事实证明，哈桑离开他们后日子过的并不富裕，虽然娶妻生子，也与失散多年的母亲重逢，但美好的时光总是短暂的，接下来发生的事情或许惨不忍睹，令人不忍直视。而阿米尔内心的触动也让我们知道，该来的总会到来。
