It was in August four years ago when my friend Lucy and I visited Shuanglang in Dali in Yunnan province. Located at the opposite side of Canshan Mountain and adjacent to the Erhai Lake, Shuanglang, the small town at the foot of ranges of mountains, welcome about over 1,000 tourists every day with its beautiful scenery. Attracted by its fame and beauty, we impatiently started out and made our way to the destination. On the way to the place, we were bowled over by the crystal-clear sapphire sky and limpid water. And before we pulled over to take a look at what Shuanglang had to offer, we had a intuitive feeling that this was a rewarding trip.
Shuanglang, once an off-the-beaten-track fishing village in the past decades, was put in the spotlight several years ago and became famous across the country. The place was a most blessed site for its scenery as well as enthusiastic and sympathetic local people. We stood on a hillside which is the way to the tourist attraction, watching a panorama of the dwellings and the YUli Island which is just 1 kilometers from the bank side. I took some photos here and there. We both took the advantage of the clear skies and visited the small village where tourists packed into. The best day was spent watching scenery and taking photos thereafter.
