一个人，目标越大，困难就越小
The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.

【原文】
7.15 冉有曰：“夫子为卫君乎？”子贡曰：“诺，吾将问之。"入曰：“伯夷、叔齐何人也？"曰：“古之贤人也。"曰：“怨乎？"曰：“求仁而得仁，又何怨？"出曰：“夫子不为也。”
【翻译】
冉有说：“老师会赞成卫国的国君吗？”子贡说：“嗯，我去问问老师吧。”子贡进入孔子房中，问道：“伯夷和叔齐是怎样的人呢？”孔子说：“他们是古代贤人啊。”子贡说：“他们会有怨悔吗？”孔子说：“他们追求仁德，便得到了仁德，又怎么会有怨悔呢？”子贡走出来，对冉有说：“老师不会赞成卫国国君的。”
【解读】
1. 故事背景：卫国父子争夺君位的故事，子贡试探孔子对这事的态度，便用伯夷、叔齐互相推让君位的故事做引子，孔子说一个人如果目标是求仁，那中途如果遇到什么困境，是不会计较的。
2. 一个人，目标如果定得够宏大，困难就会越小。
把心态调整好，眼里全部目标，就会看不到困难。
如果你每天，因为一两个客户的问题，就气得半死，那说明，你定的目标就太小。格局小了，眼里全是事。
曾国藩的座右铭“不为圣贤，便为禽兽”。成为圣贤的宏大目标，即使他一生历经挫折，打击，他始终不放弃，而且成为他一生追求卓越的强大的内驱力。
求仁而得仁，又何怨？
Yen Yu said," Is Confucius for the rules of Wei?"
Tsze-kung sai, "Oh! I will ask him."
He went in accordingly and asked: what sort of men were Po-i and Shu-chi?
They were ancient worthies, said Confucius
Did they have any repinings because of their course?
They sought to act virtuously, and they did so, what was there for them to repine about?
On this, Teze-hung went out and said, Confucius was not for him.

Our boss repined at the employees.
