I love this ted talk so much because it showed me a very simple truth: “why don’t you put your time on the things you are really care”?
For a long time, I read a lot of time management articles to find best practices on time saving so that I could find extra time on improving my writing skills. After listening this ted, I think I have to remove some tasks to save time for writing articles. by this way I could improve it quickly and steadily.
I am very confused why I was stuck in thinking that I could find time for all things I want to do. It is as impossible as you want to own everything in the word. I don’t need to own everything, I just need to identify what I am chasing and then pour my time on them. so start thinking and pick over valuable tasks. This ted talk gives an efficient way to push you finish your tasks: pretending it’s the end of next year, what 3~5 things did you do that made it so amazing? then we have a list of 3~5 goals we can work on in the next year. next we need to break these down into doable steps. and then it’s about looking at the whole of one’s time and seeing where the good staff can go.
watch the video carefully and I am sure you could find what you want. Good luck :)
