本单元学习了一年四个季节及相关天气的表达，以及12个月份的前6个月份的单词和表达。因此本单元也有三篇写作：1.家乡四季的天气；2.自己最喜欢的季节；3.自己喜欢的月份。
有些孩子一听到写作文就畏难抗拒或者是放弃，所以三次小练笔，孩子们的写作情况都不怎么理想。其实，英语的起步作文非常简单，说白了就是在一定框架下的造句。所谓的框架就是作文结构三要素“开头－中间－结尾”，而造句就是仿写书本的相关句子。比如季节的天气就可以仿写书本P8 U1 Story图一的句子It’s warm in spring. 还有更为简单的方法就是平时多背书，然后摘取写作主题相关的句子背默下来，串联一起就是一篇很不错的作文了。
下面是一些基础范例和有用的星级句子，其中基础范文供英语较为薄弱的同学背记默写，星级句子供学有余力的同学背记参考。
基础范文一：
Weather in my hometown
开头：Zhongshan is my hometown.
中间：It’s warm in spring here.
It’s hot in summer.
It’s cool in fall.
It’s cold in winter.
结尾：I like the weather in my hometown.
正确书写为：
Zhongshan is my hometown. It’s warm in spring here. It’s hot in summer. It’s cool in fall. It’s cold in winter. I like the weather in my hometown.
基础范文二：
Summer is my favorite season. It’s hot in summer. I can go swimming. I can eat ice-cream, too. Summer holiday is in summer. That’s nice.
基础范文三：
My favorite month is June. Because my birthday is in June. I can get many gifts. It’s hot in June. I can swim in the sea. I like June very much.
